RePlay the Tunes, July 18th, 2009 at Christ Church in Montpelier
ORE’s first-ever record sale was a huge success: we sold hundreds and hundreds of LPs, 45s, CDs, audio cassettes, VHS tapes, DVDs, and more! The event drew record enthusiasts from all over Vermont, and countless people found joy in the music that they purchased. In the end, the sale raised over $4,000 for the organization!
Pecha Kucha Night, March 19, 6:30 to 8 at Langdon Street Cafe
Pecha Kucha Night, devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham in 2003, was designed to be a place for designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. At this Pecha Kucha Night, ORE members enjoyed 6 minute 40 second presentations by pianist Michael Arnowitt, architect and landscaper Carlene Ramus, natural builder Mark Krawczyk, and Deeksha by Tanager. Further topics of conversation included Care Banks, the ReStore’s new programs, FreeRide Montpelier, Transition Towns, the Onion River Exchange, and more!
